JetPack PC Optimization Tool - User Guide
JetPack is a Windows-based utility designed to optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain your PC's performance. This document outlines each menu option available in the application, including a brief explanation and guidance on when to use it.
Menu Options
Check Windows Updates
Opens the Windows Update settings so you can check for system updates.
When to use: Use this monthly or when troubleshooting OS-related issues.
Check for Malware
Scans running processes for names commonly associated with malware.
When to use: Use this if you suspect your system is running slowly or behaving unusually.
Clean Browser Cache
Clears the cache and temporary internet files from common browsers.
When to use: Use this when browsers are slow or behaving unpredictably.
Enable Performance Mode
Adjusts visual effects for best performance in Windows.
When to use: Use this on older systems or when you want to maximize speed.
Exit
Closes the JetPack application.
When to use: Use when you are done using the application.
Export Report
Exports a session report of diagnostics and operations performed.
When to use: Use this to document findings or share results with tech support.
Flush DNS Cache
Flushes your computer’s DNS cache to clear old IP mappings.
When to use: Use this when having trouble accessing websites or after network changes.
Large File Scan
Scans the system for files over 100MB and allows opening their folder location.
When to use: Use this to identify and clean up storage space on your PC.
One-Click Optimization
Runs a comprehensive suite of cleanup and performance tools.
When to use: Use this weekly or when your PC starts to slow down.
Open Task Manager
Opens the Windows Task Manager to the Startup tab.
When to use: Use this to enable or disable programs that start with Windows.
Restart Windows Explorer
Restarts the Windows Explorer process (taskbar, start menu, etc.).
When to use: Use this if the taskbar freezes or File Explorer becomes unresponsive.
Toggle Dark Mode
Toggles between light and dark themes for the application.
When to use: Use based on your personal visual preference.
Uninstall a Program or App
Opens the Windows uninstaller to remove programs.
When to use: Use this to remove unwanted or unused software.
